The basic problem of the current recession is that
we do not try to understand what are the causes of it,
so we continue to operate,
to solve the problem, with the same tools and methods
that created the problem.
To understand what are the most profound causes of our system we should first take stock of the situation of the Western Market Society System. To understand if it is a defect of origin of the System; or a degeneration of the system?
Two seem to be the fundamental points of the question:
● the Western system was born on the principles of “Democracy” (for the Government: voters vote that administers the company – for the Market, the customer “vote” a product by buying it).
● this system necessarily implies an active participation of Citizens / Customers: they choose their “administrators” (the Rulers), but they do their best to contribute to the satisfaction of their needs).
In the absence of such qualities (the “Principle of operation” of the System) the Western Society and Market System can not function.
This is not a moral question: it is a “technical” problem. If in a rational system (such as the system of democratic government, and the market) the p Principle of operation are not respected, the system does not work: that is, it does not provide results for which it is conceived.

That is, the Western System is born to work “bottom-up”: the Democracy directly participated by the Citizens (they appoint an administrator, but then actively participate in the management of public issues). And, as regards the market, a system based on the Law of Supply and Demand.

In our case the Company and Market System has abandoned the bottom-up mode to adopt a top-down mode.
In such a system – which does not respect its operating principles – although the problems do not immediately appear, we arrives at a point where this intrinsic inability to satisfy people’s needs generates a condition of profound malaise (material and psychological): poverty, ineffectiveness of public services, violence, etc …
In this situation, in the end the incumbents themselves are overwhelmed by the condition that they created (see the studies on the cyclicity of History, which show how the incumbents periodically meet a loss of their positions of power).

In the specific case of the market in the last decades, the problem is that the original Market form (the one that worked for tens of thousands of years), based on the figure of the Entrepreneur, has been replaced by the Financial Capitalism Market (Managers and Consultants).
In this new phase,
Managers and Consultants
lack the basic quality of those who work in the Market:
the Sensitive Intuition°
which allows understanding the needs of Demand.
The same is at the level of Government, where the participation of the Citizen in the administration of social life has failed.

To recover the original dimension of Government and Market, it is necessary to give tools to Citizens/Consumers so that they can be integrated into the Society Administration (Government), in the definition of the Products.
For example it is about transforming the current Marketing (analytic Marketing) into a Participated Marketing°.
